A long wait

Have not seen my dear for nearly 2 weeks(or maybe more than that) due to all the float building stuff that I had to do ... and FINALLY we got to have dinner together last night.Well I ended up being rather late in meeting him, haha because of float again. You see, on Wednesday I arrived in school at 4+, but because I only had my lunch at that time, I was feeling full and didn't join the rest for dinner. Stayed back to finish touching up the head. Later I joined the raggers in TR10 and played Tekken Tag with Subby(with numerous "kick to teh head" + "ball grabbing" moves) while waiting for Chris and Pauline to reach school so that we could have supper.
Supper was around 1-2am, and right when we got back to school we started work on the float again, this time painting one side of the wings. Thankfully we had slightly more manpower (thanks to eliz erik and shane) this time, so it was finished in around 7am. That was when we decided we should have breakfast before slping. Subby drove us to West Coast Mac, and HAHAHA WE SAW PROF KHOO (and everyone went O.O but we hid in a corner and prayed he didn't spot us). Only got to sleep at 9am, and everyone agreed we shld wake at 2pm to start work again.
Everyone woke at 4pm instead. LOL. And to my utmost horror, my dear booked out at 1pm or so already T.T so I was really rushing about. Called my Dad to ask if he was free to send me home, bathed, dressed, repacked my bag for next day's float and lugged everything with me to his house, reaching at around 7pm. Felt rather bad, but I was so freaking tired from everything although when you calculate, 9am to 4pm is a total of 7 hours of sleep. But if you know me, I need abnormally more hours of sleep.
Dinner was rather interesting, because Jurong Point recently opened up an entire section of Jap restaurants(Jap craze everywhere) and he wanted to bring me there, and the restaurant we choose turned out to be an elaborate ploy of Ichiban company to have yet another outlet dedicating to other types of food, namely those that were hot-plate style(I forgot the actual name of those dishes). To tell the truth, I didn't really feel like I was going to have a good dining experience, but it turned out pretty ok. Not the best Jap restaurant that I have attended in my life(MOF still rocks) but good enough. The only turn off was that their set meals were VERY expensive, and the portions were rather meagre so both of us decided to order the cheaper items, which unexpectedly turned out to be better than those set meals(in terms of portion, and probably the taste too). However, one interesting thing that offered with that set meal is that it is accompanied with chawanmushi, which the chef cooks on the spot in front of you. Oh I forgot to mention that most of the tables are situated in such a way that it surrounds the chef who cooks in front of you (forgot what that's called too) so it's entertainment while you eat. Back to the chawanmushi, the chef puts a small square of foil, and sets an onion cup onto it. He fills the base with some egg and waits till the btm is cooked and firm before pouring the rest of the fillings and egg in. Really good to see, but also really not worth the money because the onion cup was rather small too, just around 2 mouthfuls or so of egg.
Probably it will be the first and last time I will dine in that restaurant I guess. I will try the others available when we are free again. There's another ichiban sushi(boring) again, a huge restaurant dedicated to being a live fish market(damn cool), one opened by Tori-Q(just a small outlet with seats for patrons to finish the food), and probably one or two more that I've not taken notice of. Not bad for a try by JP, but I think Central wins them hands down. I mean, heck, Central even has a mini supermarket(not the one selling fruits and vege) that sells my favourite Morinaga choco chip cookies, how could anyone beat that?
Although the time to see each other was rather short, just a dinner and staying overnight but it makes me happy. I guess he does too =D Looking forward to after RnF Day on 8th August where we can spend more time together.
