whenever we go somewhere on the search for bags, chances are that im the only one who buys things...............................
so i did!!! HAH!
went to orchard on friday. walked from far east to wisma to taka to heeren to cineleisure and back to far east. it was a marathon. our poor legs hahaXD
yeah so far east... we walked through almost all the shops in the basement... then headed upstairs to the anime shop located at the top as always. then we stared and stared at the whole display of figurines green with envy. everytime.
then i spotted something. it was Mecha Musume!!! omg the precious figurines were inches away from my face and i was staring at them!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhh what luck!!!!!
for those who have no clue to what im talking about... Mecha Musume is actually a collection of anime girls under the theme of WW2. something like "heavy metal maidens" as the magazine newtype puts it, or whoever that gave that name i duno.
anyway i was saliving over the fact that it was actually here and asked auntie for the price. $79!!!!!! im like O_O are you kidding. then auntie made a phone call, i decided not to buy it, and we walked off. sad really. then we went to wisma and i saw a skirt i really really liked. went to check the price: $79.90. fine. whats with 79 these days really? and so i didnt buy in the end.
i bought newtype. and what a coincidence, it featured Mecha Musume this issue?! im like: .........., but im quite interested... then i read read read the article... blah blah... and at cineleisure... i kept thinking about what i wanted to buy. to wear a skirt or to own 7 figurines?
a normal girl who loves clothes and makeup and girly stuff would choose the skirt. an unnormal girl like me who is an anime freak would choose the 7 figurines. furthermore skirts dont last, figurines do. and i could try to nudge my parents into sponsoring me for that piece of cloth, hopefully.
verdict: buy the figurines asap before they are gone forever!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!
i must say im very happy with my conclusion. lol. so we went in and i bought the entire set for 79, complete with that rare exoskeleton thingy that forced me to buy all 7 figurines to get every single part to assemble it. damn. and now i have to eat chicken rice for the entire next month. better be worth it.
took the 2 hours assembling the whole thing. the exoskeleton was a real pain to assemble cuz the hole didnt fit exactly and i had to enlarge it. my poor fingers are in serious pain and i got a scrape. ARRRGGGHHHHH UUUUURRRRGGGGHHHH it had better be worth it!!!
