9's awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Everyone who went to the cinema together can testify that! Though Jo says the plot's too simple but for me it's just exciting! You never know what will happen to them, it's so scary. I could never be like 9 though, I'll just shriek and hide away.

I feel very lucky to have my dad as, well, my dad. Just had one of our longest heart to heart talks about anything under the sun. He made me understand many things, to learn, to do in life, in love, in work. It may sound really simple as you read it, but it's actually a lot more deeper than that... but that's private, ah haha.

Feel much better now, as if an emotional burden was lifted. When was the last time I felt this way? Must have been ages ago.

2 days ago we celebrated Nianci's birthday at MOF Marina. Which was pretty fun considering everyone in S33 didn't meet up for a uber long time, and what's more, we were dining at MOF which was even better!

I didn't take photos of the food that was on the table, but everyone of them looked great and tasted wonderful!

The dessert was always the best of course, and I love it X100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 as usual! <3

Well after that we had time to kill becaue the movie was at midnight, so we headed to the arcade just beside the cinema and we just rotted in there for 1 and a half hours. Halfway through some of the guys decided that their NS days just weren't exciting enough, and decided to play some military shooting game whose name I can't remember.
I don't know how you see this, but I realised how great an impact NS has on these guys. All of them stood in the same posture la, wth. Like some rank and file shooting formation. Oh maybe they are so "gum" until all do the same thing. But anyway it was rather amusing to me so I just took it for fun =D

p.s. they used up their credits rather fast too

Ok on to the next interesting thing I saw in the arcade. You know just like how teenagers who look like ah bengs and ah lians never cease to exist, para para legacy will continue forever in these arcades. I simply cannot understand who the heck will play such a game that will embarrass the crap out of me if I ever play it. Somehow it makes even DDR pale in comparison, maybe because you can't flail your legs as wild as your arms to turn you into some mad octopus.

I seriously wish could have taken the video of those guys dancing, but I'm afraid if I did they would think they were spectacular and continue to flail their arms even more vigorously, which would go beyond that of an octopus's calibur to become... I don't know =.= But they were simply laughable

Later went to catch the movie Zohan, and to tell the truth it was really corny and sucked. The way they tried to make the audience laugh was really trying, and too lame for my taste. Even my dear fell asleep watching it, my god =.= Firstly, the accents used made it hard to understand what they were talking about, and chinese subtitles definitely didn't help. Zohan was too spectacular to the point where it gets boring... and the last part where he decided to put aside his hatred against his arch nemesis and they decided to live in harmony.... was DARN LAME. Oh and that last last part where they decided to sing some weird song to shatter all windows around the street all to defuse the bomb was like WTH. It's like those manga where people keep uncovering ultimate methods for problem one, then ultimate ultimate methods for problem 2, and ultimate X3 methods for problem 3. It's just like when you thought it was already enough here comes another O.O, like some bankai's bankai's bankai.(if you ever read Bleach u will know)

Anyway, sucked. That's the summary. Well unless you were like a certain SOMEONE in S33 who giggles even if an ant crawls past her, you might laugh to death. In that case then the movie is definitely worth the ka ching.

Oh, and happy birthday again Nianci, hoped you enjoyed yourself =)

It's 2008 already!! Amazing. I don't think I've fulfilled any resolution (not that I made any) for that past one year. Maybe eat more, sleep more, that's all.

Anyways, how did I spend my day? Pretty fun I would say. Noticeably because there weren't so many grumpy people to spend it around with. Anyway we could have fun without them I suppose, so it's no problem.

Well me and kev got invited to mel's house to celebrate the coming of the new year. Spending the night, playing games and such. It was a B gang gathering actually. I have to thank mel and jie sheng for being so nice to host and org the gathering, it was really fun for me if even though I was super tired ;D

My mum happened to have free tickets to the movies because of the points she accumulated on her card, so me and Kev headed to The Cathay to watch this animation movie called "VEXILLE". We could have watched others, but I wanted to watch this badly just because it was an ANIMATION hahhahahahah!!

Turns out that it sucked. Sucked as in S.U.C.K.E.D. So much for "from the creators of appleseed". Kns. The characters' hair looked as though a gallon of hair wax was poured onto the hair, hardly moved at all, and it was so freaking FAKE urggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I must have watched too much Final Fantasy, but still it gives off such a low quality production feeling!! KNS. I hated the plot, so cliche. The main character doesn't even look emotional when she was supposed to cry because the boy was killed, she didn't even spill tears, yuck. Only Maria and her sidekick (some guy who died later on) was presentable cause she looked more natural(and more beautiful) Funnily, at the end of the climax of the show, everyone ended up injuring one of their legs so it was really hilarious when Maria was limping after the bad guy who was also limping away. Like, everyone was limping in that scene and the whole cinema just roared with laughter and someone even shouted "BUEY TAHAN LEH!!!"

Omg so embarrassing -.-||| but it was really that funny haha.

So the show ended. Since it was a picturehouse movie, we couldn't bring food or drinks into the cinema hence the ticket my mum redeemed for the snacks wasn't used. And just because of that stupid ticket for snacks, me and kev decided to go for ANOTHER movie just to eat the popcorn, cuz kev said it would seem weird to hold popcorn and drinks when we aren't going to the movies.
Who knew that decision would be so fruitking screwed up. Gosh. Cuz when Kev booked out, he didn't take any lunch and neither did I, so we thought we would have the popcorn for our lunch since my mum redeemed two sets for the both of us. We decided on a hurry to watch "Across the Universe" which sounded like a romance story. My senses were niggling saying it would be another sucky movie, but since we were rushing for another movie else we would be late for the gathering I just bought the tickets.

We went to the snacks bar, showed the ticket and you know what? We could only redeem ONE set because that stupid ticket counter girl only redeemed one set for us when we wanted two!!! We didn't know because the tickets were confusing when she passed it to us so we assumed it was correct. Kns. Somemore, I ordered salted popcorn first so when we heard there was only one set, we just grabbed it with a drink and ran to the theatre. And kev doesn't eat salted popcorn(so childish heh) he only eats freaking HONEY god knows why. See ah, I have never heard of kids liking salted popcorn. So what does it imply? My dear who eats honey popcorn must be a kid!!! HOHOHOHOHO. (I know it doesn't fit in with the theory of if-then in CS1231, but heck I just want to show that he's a kid HOHOHOHO)

Back to the movie, I wanted to go back and change it, but Kev didn't want me to do so. So he ended up eating nothing for another 2 hours when I finished up the entire packet of popcorn( yes I was that hungry). Poor thing =( What makes it worse was that the movie wasn't really nice. It was called "Across the Universe". Basically it's a little like high school musical. They sing lyrics of a song that is SUPPOSEDLY to tell the story of the movie. However in this movie, some of the lyrics they sing make ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE. And it got a little freaky in some parts with the strawberries song. I swear, I will never look at strawberries the same way again after that song. Absolutely freaky. The plot was simple, but because of all the singing, I think I was lost in what they were trying to do. However when I think back again the movie becomes slightly more understandable. Ah well. Sucky movie + no food = bad experience for my dear =(

After that, we ran back to Jurong to meet up for the gathering. Was supposed to have dinner first with everyone at a nearby food centre. We booked some seats while waiting for them to arrive.
That's him. He looks Ok, but must be really hungry just that he doesn't want to show it haha. Whatever. Anyways, we had sambal fish, fried kangkong, claypot tofu, curry fish head, ku lou yok(duno how to say it in english but it's pork). Very nice! ;D

Later we went to mel's house. First thing we did was to play the game Twister that mel just bought that very morning. Ah hahahhahahahahaha!!!!!!! xD The first game was played by the girls cuz Kev dozed off from tiredness lol. He joined in at the next game I think but I only had the pics when jie sheng finally came and when all the guys played together.


The first thing I did with my camera was to take a picture of Jie Sheng's butt. *snorts with laughter* xDD How....... ROUND? LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.
Looks pretty agonising for nick. Looks pretty obscene too if not for the twister mat below to prove their innocence HAHHAHAHAHA XDDDDDD

Imagine if Jie Sheng farted. EPIC.

The most relaxing position on earth for kevin after the numerous traumatizing positions that he had to do throughout the game.
Jie Sheng even had to request for a cup of water while playing this straining game. Lol.

This is harder than any army training any of the guys have received. Loooool.
Omg. I think I have a knack for taking pictures of people in wrong positions LOL.
Exhausting game. And mel's Twister mat got torn a little and looks as though it has been used for a year even though it was only for one day. Hahahha.

After that... we played mahjong all the way till 7 am in the morning. Then I went to sleep till 12pm I think. After that we played mahjong AGAIN till around 5pm hahahaha. Didn't gamble, but until now my hands are getting itchy..... o well. Later had dinner at JP, and mel went to buy a bag xD I was also tempted to buy one myself despite Jie Sheng's attempts to persuade me hahahhahahahahahaha!!!!!! (Didn't in the end)

Well, that roughly sums up how celebrated my year 2008. Hope everyone had a nice time too =D

yeah i finally caught the movie pirates of the carribean 3!!! woots =D and only paid 8 bucks for it on a weekend thanks to someone's safra card haha. thanks!

met up with 05s33 peeps and we had dinner together in swensons. oooooohhh my baked curry chicken rice! XD and i had topless 5 once again!XD

people who attended: me, melissa, zi hua, jen, nianci, kev, jie sheng, jerome, kok siang, nic, yukun, calvin, dylan, joel, matthew, weixiang and jojo. did i miss out anyone else?

some of them didnt want to watch the movie, so they left. anyway still its a whole load of people going to the cinema together. surprisely although it was close to midnight, the cinema was packed and we ended up sitting in the first row =.=

many of my frens got too tired and dozed off here and there(even my dear did halfway during the show), but for ME? due to my burn-midnight-oil-training in maple story till 2am and my great interest for the show i didnt sleep at all XD

and i say that its really nice! just that there were quite a number of loose ends=X like, wad happened to the goddess for one. and urgh so sad, in the end the heroine couldnt be with her husband *note, spoiler! i think it came too late anyway lol* SO SAD CAN!!!!!!! ok wun tell much here, but i do advise u to watch it if u can!=D oh ya, and funnily, the war ended and all the pirates were going yayyyyyyyy but if u think abt it, the only pirate ship that fought was the ship that the main characters were in. those wad other pirate ldrs(or wadever they were called) didnt even do anything. O.O.... so weird. lol.

i have this horrible mosquito bite on my leg and i cant help but scratch it T_T its irresistable la. cannot tahan.

anyway ps for not rmbring the timing for the badminton game, my bad. sorry for the pangsehing eh hehehe.

ok my dear came back finally and is due to book in on a tuesday. which is rather fast given that its sunday already.

had the chance to go out together=) and we watched this movie called 200 pounds beauty and I LOVE THE SOUNDTRACK WHO HAS IT!!!!!!!!!F5F5F5

overall the movie's touching at the back and the singing was really nice. but i bet the actress (she's really pretty) was lip synching or something. zzzzz i really want the song!

but i think the show highlighted abt society's perception of beauty and how pple would go under the knife just to look nice. but of course, the actress did it for the sake of love, but then again it goes to show that actually physical appearances matter a lot in this world still.

mmm. a lot on my mind, but i think its mostly cleared up for now. for now only.

woo hoo i finally lvled my dear's bowman!!!!! but i duno how to up the stats and the skill points =.= so i leave it to him to tell me when he books out. the bowman drains all my hp and mp pots like crazy at FOG but the exp is too good to let out. i hope the mesos dun fly away....

anyway for safety's sake i bought a safety charm using 1k cash (with his money=.=) dun blame me k... later die 10% lost again i will delete this character i tell u. (ok just joking..)

today i watched a movie with my badminton mates. before that we had a badminton session at je sports hall and finally i sweated at least ONCE in the month of april through a physical workout! woo hoo! played 3 matches and was too lazy to play more though.. lol.

we watched this movie called "Shooter". last time when my sister watched it with her boyfriend, she complained so much abt it that i got a bad impression of it, but too bad Huai An watched "Meet the Robinsons" earlier (dammit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and i hated horror shows(i abstain from it as much as possible now) so left shooter and the guys didnt like the idea of the movie "Sunshine" cuz it was a fucking stupid impossible fictionous show with monsters sprouting out when the bomb exploded due to a survivor of the previous mission that mutated or something (as described by Benny) so we went for Shooter!!!

anyway the show was pretty good i thought, worth the 8 bucks (cuz of the safra card yl had) for a longggggg 2 hours and 20 mins. plot's quite like the bond something movie that i watched last time (not james bond mind u) but for me it was pretty exciting in a way although u knew wad was going to happen. duh. ok just say i like it. wonder wad crossed my sister's mind to degrade it until it sounded like a bore lol.

today my dear called but i was watching the movie T_T so we didnt talk for long, could only whisper "im watching this show called Shooter" for like 5 times cuz he cant hear me, "ooooo exciting part exciting part!!!"... something liddat. thats how the conversation went lol. nvm he will call me again tmr ^^

ok as the title states i watched that show with my classmates on the 13th march. i would love to say it today but it wouldnt make sense, duh.

here's my review for the movie:

1) its not as gory as it sounds. maybe its just me, but i really felt all the blood just looked flashy and too animated for show. so thats like a low violence rating for me. but if u dun think that way, then yes u can say its gory.

then again its seriously an understatement! urggghhhh there are tons of shows who look more gory then this. nvr mind.

2) the enemy just gets uglier and uglier. first it was a few hundred fully wrapped mummies in maybe silk waving flashy swords that never kill in the movie, then came a ex-spartan aka hunchback of sparta complete with boils asking to join the king(later he joined the persians anyway). then came along the persian king's "elite" that wore masks that look like ancient china tribes (cant remember the name, the comic "the celestial zone" featured them before). anyway of course they were elites and killed a few spartan soldiers, like their names say. among the elites, they brought in this human/monster that is seriously mutated and acts like a beast with primal instincts. he looks like a tall goblin or something and waves an axe at the king. later there was a cutscene in the persian camp where the king was so infuriated with his losses he ordered the decapitation of his underlings.

the only interesting thing was that someone well known in the gaming world made a special appearance in the movie! guess what, the king's excutioner looks like pudge(from dota); fat, ugly, and one melted pile of greyish skin with bloody weapons. wonder how much 300's producers paid to blizzard to get him on screen(just joking).

3) the show lacks plot. i duno. i like shows with plots, its nicer. i know that the movie is all about the glory of spartan warriors fighting in battle and e genius of the spartan king, but i dun really see any smart moves that were featured during the war. just "we were trained from young to fight like !@#$ and its ingrained into our very body and etc", "we die for our country" and more... but the show must go on!

critics aside, the movie's peppered with a few funny dialogues when the enemy attempts to get him to surrender. it gets sad at times. and its amazing how the king never gets hit by the arrows when he aims the spear at the persian king. ah well. u cant expect everything to be like reality in a movie.
