Batam
Monday, January 11, 2010 | 11:19 PM | 0 hearts♥
Just returned from Batam! This is the last holiday getaway I'm having before I return to school. Went with some of the class guys and girls :)There's really not much Batam has to offer - the shopping's horrible (fashion wise, but at least there were shoes of my size though I didn't buy), many things were repeated, the food was alright (cheap), not much entertainment. At least we tried the massage and spa, those were good! For the massage, it was 1.5 hours and those staff really massaged from head to toe. Been having stiff shoulders for quite some time so it was good to have it :) I loved the part where they twisted my neck and waist, when there was the cracking sound it was SHIIIIIOOOOOOOOKKKKKK LA. Hahhaha!
2nd day I had the spa, for 2 hours we get a massage, body scrub, sauna and a bubble bath. Was a very interesting experience for me because it was my first time having a spa! I wouldn't mind going back to Batam just for that again :) And hahaha they actually gave tummy fat reducing pills at the end of the spa with some ginger tea, and of course we ate it straightaway even though we knew it wouldn't work!
I didn't really like walking along the pavement beside the roads in Batam, because they were horribly rundown and dirty, and traffic was worse than what I had experience in BKK. The smell was often foul, and I found the place quite miserable somehow. You always see those shops that look so isolated and dirty, you'd wonder how can people make a living here. Shopping malls over there usually have only a few people wandering around, even though it's a weekend. Wonder what do the residents of Batam do really.
This time round, the guys probably shopped more than us girls because there was really nothing that we liked. (at least for me) The clothes were of quite bad quality, the price is not that cheap as well sometimes - I would rather fly back to BKK and have a nicer time shopping for my clothes. And I didn't buy the Ralph Lauren shirts that I said I wanted because I still found them expensive - SGD$60 for a shirt, that's still expensive to me even though they told me Singapore sells them for double the price. Saw some shirts that were funny, but after being in BKK recently, looking at their price tag of SGD$10 puts me off. =( So for first timers, never ever go to BKK before u go to Batam because you will end up comparing prices everywhere you go and you'll never buy anything in the end.
Finally had A&W again! Honestly, I expected more from it. The root beer was standard. Having it as a float however was very different from BKK's A&W. BKK's ice cream was the normal ice cream that you could find in any supermart, and it was scooped whereas Batam's was using those smoothie machines that you see in Singapore mac, you know those soft serve and they will just squeeze out one small round on the top of the mug -__- Food portions were quite small and I don't think it was worth if for the price, even if it was cheaper than Singapore's fast food. The waffle was good though. And the prices on their menu was all before tax, tricked me into thinking that it was really dirt cheap ='(
Ok BKK is still much better, but I wouldn't mind going back to Batam just for the massage and spa again! Andddddd school's starting tomorrow.... (technically I skipped Monday lessons) gotta try and turn in early.
XOXO
Start of 2009
Saturday, January 03, 2009 | 1:24 AM | 0 hearts♥
Countdown to 2009 was pretty alright. Spent the night at Kev's house, watched the tiny weeny fireworks and forced him to eat a piece of chocolate when it struck midnight (just a sudden idea lol). Network jammed up as usual so I didn't bother to send back greetings till the next day. A quiet celebration, just the way I like. The very next day we went to Sentosa with the rest of B gang. Had a nice breakfast before meeting up with them. Didn't go down to the water at all. Just spent the day trying to get dark but not sunburnt, played cards and chit chat. Turns out I hardly got a tan. Didn't know SPF50 is that strong haha!
My first movie of the year was right after getting out of Sentosa. Mel's mum got us the tickets at a very later timing, so we squeezed in Jordan's car and went to his house to rest (very tired) while the others played mahjong. It was pretty funny cuz Kev and Jie Sheng kept making fun of how Nat plays mahjong and everything lol
Ip Man IMO was nice for me. Ok, I'm a sucker for these kind of fighting shows, loved them since young! I used to watch those old chinese films shown at ulu timings on TV; the choreography is really nice! But it they must include at least a meaningful plot, not just brainless fighting hor (like those Ong Bak or whatever. It doesn't look like it has a plot in the first place) AND doesn't mean I'm violent hor. Kevin got for me the moo moo calendar from the combo meal! XD muacks!!! I thought it was those flipping calendars but it turns out that the dates and months were bricks that you had to turn, quite troublesome =.=
Finally reached home at around 2 plus am I suppose, and fell asleep right away while Kevin die-die had to win his 1st round in FF-Dissidia before he followed suit, gah. (he didn't know how to play at first lol)
Next day, we went to watch Ponyo on the cliff by the sea!! Omg it's freaking CUTE. The plot's a little too short (so easy to save the world one), but STILL, I would say it's good. Arrggggggghhhhhhhhh I don't even know how to describe the epic cuteness of Ponyooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! Go see for yourself! :D Even better was that the combo meal sold a moo-moo tumbler (which they filled with coke), so COOL. Then I happily bought the set and went in, only to realise I didn't get a straw and I cannot drink =.=
Had supper with Jie Sheng, Nianci and Dylan right after that. We walked one big round around the 334 route due to miscommunication and blah blahblah. At least the prata was nice and the curry was slightly sour and really spicy. Talked cock for awhile before we headed home and...
THAT WAS WHEN I REMEMBERED IT WAS BIDDING DAY. Omg.
Lucky first rd is till 5th of Jan, heng. But alot of screw ups la. Planned my mods long ago already. Then when I wan to bid, got lecture clash. Then there was another module that was already overbidded wth. I checked with Chong Yee and finally got to know there was a freaking MPE last sem that pre-allocated mods. I always thought it was just a survey and didn't bother to do. So exasperated with myself. Fuck it, I'll just bid and appeal if I can't get them. What else to do right?
Now I'm looking for a UE to fit into my mod. Wish there's someone who can take it with me. It's boring to do mods alone but apparently no one's very interested in Arts mods. All taking those mods like Understanding Universe, Sci of Music, blahblahblah. I'm not a logical or maths person, I prefer those stuff that's closer to readings and text or crap. So not CS, gah.
My motto for my school life is just simple. To enjoy it like a simple and normal person, nothing else. I don't yearn for grades that awe people, I just want to get my cert, and graduate normally from university while I enjoy my life with all the buddies I made in school and all the events I participated in. I hate politics, fucking hypocrites and people who look down on me like I can't do well in anything ( If there's anyone. I don't think so actually, but heck I'll just put it. )
If I looked back in my previous sem, it wasn't a really good one in terms of friendship. I did regret it at some points in time, and at times I don't. I'm not a BFF kind of person, and I don't expect others to do so to me. I'm perfectly happy with sitting down together to study and have dinners late in the night, go for outings and everything, but I get very uncomfortable when people get too close for my comfort. I don't like people sending me back everyday like some escort unless it's on the way home, unless it's just for fun once in a blue moon. I like to take have time alone occasionally. I like to take the bus home alone sometimes too. I don't like having to tell people constantly where I am, what I'm going to do on an often basis and all of the above applies to everyone unless you are my boyfriend or my family. And most of all I hate physical touches unless it's those normal friend kinds like a pat on the back, a handshake or something.
I don't mean to outcast everyone that I know, but it's just stating my boundaries of how I define my friendships with people. I want things to be the way I want it, that I can control as someone who is free and not tied down by anything. That's why I feel that last sem was really terrible, it didn't follow my principles in friendships somehow and I might have affected others as well; it makes me feel bad. To make it worse, I hate being the one to tell people to go away or anything because it makes me feel horrid to reject them so I ended up tolerating everything and I'm not really happy. This sem, I'm going to try and make a new start and just live it out NORMALLY. THAT'S IT RAWR. Don't take sides, don't get into stupid politics that I don't need and live a happier life.
Ok I feel better now :)
p/s: WWE is a really brainless show =.=||| Even Kevin fell asleep watching it.

Results and Christmas
Wednesday, December 24, 2008 | 9:11 PM | 0 hearts♥
Since it's the eve of Christmas and I don't have any activities going on, think blogging will serve to pass some time. Not that I yearn to go partying, it's also due to the fact that I don't feel well even though I'm perfectly fine. For the past 3 days I had an everlasting flu and today, it was accompanied by a mild sore throat. Kevin gave me the panadol flu medication and it was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. It doesn't help that he kept saying "mama lemon mixed with water" while I was drinking down that vile concoction. I swear, I'll never ever drink that again. BLEARGH!
The wind's absolutely cold tonight, however it signals a warm night with snuggling in my bed with blankets covering me- absolutely delightful. Kind of gives off a Christmasy feel to it although I'm quite sure the streets of Orchard Road are a nightmare to walk in at this point of time, haha.
I got back my results for last sem. In fact, I was really really nervous when I was typing in my i/d and password. Sweaty and cold palms, yeah. Turns out my cap didn't change at all, which I'm quite ok for the moment. But I know it's high time to pull it up while I still can =/ I failed MA1505 AGAIN. Somehow I was both surprised and unsurprised. Weird contradiction, but maybe I'm just surprised that I failed a mod for the 2nd time, didn't imagine that. Unsurprised that I sacrificed most of my maths time studying for econs instead, so yeah. Quite sad when I think about repeating it again, and my parents didn't take it too well when I told them.
Well the great news was that I PASSED MY CS1102 WOOTS!!!!!!! I know when people fail a mod they are usually depressed, upset blahblhabah, but this totally eradicated any trace of sadness that I felt when I saw my CS1102 results. I. FREAKING. PASSED. WOOOOOOO~
Words cannot describe the terror inside me taking programming even at the start of my first year in Computing. It was, and still is a horrifying experience. I'm really sure I really do not have even a tiny weeny bit of talent in programming, honestly. I'm seriously, really damn glad to see myself pass, to the point where failing other mods are ok! Now how serious do you think my trauma is, you can tell.
Another cheerful grade to know was that the module that I worked so hard for, Game Design NM3216 got me an A-. Ok it's neither an A nor A+ like I hoped(actually fat hope), but it's close enough and I'm really happy. Shows that my hard work paid off! Luckily the lecturer Alex is doing this mod for the very last time last sem since he's gg to further his studies; he's a really great and fun lecturer and I would never forget him ;) For peeps out there taking Nm3216 this sem onwards, I would say, good luck and have fun. IMO the new lecturer Anne Marie isn't that great(she was his assistant for that sem) and well... if you take you will see what I mean lol. Good luck guys!
Econs and NM2101 turned out fine too ;) Ahh now I can enjoy the new year~ Merry Christmas and Happy 2009 everyone! This might probably be the last post I'll make for the year.

Float is over
Saturday, August 09, 2008 | 1:29 AM | 0 hearts♥
2 months worth of hard work, 1 day of ending it. That's how float goes.I guess everyone's feeling the same as me, being sentimental I mean. Over the time we have shared and what we have done, I can't help but feel somewhat empty when everything was just over after our performance in front of the audience. There was of course cheering, results to wait for, other floats to see, but when your part is over, you feel somewhat lonely without any anxiety nor anticipation. I'm sure all, if not most of the people who have painstakingly put in so much effort for this year will feel how I feel. Peipei, Weihang, Subby, P-p-p-p-p-pauline, Chris, Joanne, Kun, Melvin, the entire troupe of rag dancers(Murni, Jiayi, Mong etc), and of course various other people who have managed to chip in here and there, be it cutting cloth for the costumes, painting, building structures etc, they were what made up the entire process.
Very tired now actually while waiting for my hair to get dried.. so I guess I should continue this when I have the energy someday. But I want to really thank my PTTP2 Peipei for being so supportive of the entire RnF program, to the extent that he would join the dance. Till now, I do feel a little guilty that I wasn't able to join with him in the end, but at least he enjoyed himself with the rest I think ;). Without him I guess there would be less laughter in the room and one less talking cock partner to go crazy with, hahaha. Although he did say that it was quite sad that he did float for so long but had to leave it for the rag dance, but ok la, I think rag made up for that loss somewhat.
Weihang, another senior for being very supportive of the float, helping me to do the mathematics behind the structures. To tell the truth, if he didn't come forward to volunteer helping out, I think I would screw up freaking badly with the measurements, because stuff like these + those engineering is really not in my blood. I could do a whole load of art, but give me these and I might just get a headache instead. Thanks to him, float was able to get a really great pair of main wings with the wheel. When the wings were first mounted on the structure, it was awesome. Until now, I STILL think it was awesome, but it was a pity that one of them broke because the wing was blowing too strong. Also have to thank him for doing some sai kang, like painting the nitty gritty stuff when I get exhausted from painting or taking over the float building temporarily when I had insufficient sleep and crashed, or when I had to run home to bathe(hate bathing in school).
P-p-p-p-p-pauline, the female talking cock buddy. If she wasn't here, I wouldn't have been able to deflect Chris's RH stuff away from me LOL. And because sometimes when you talk cock, you shouldn't always talk with guys, else very boring one. Can laugh over girl opinions of stuff and such hahaha. Although in the end she couldn't help finish the float, but at least she managed to make it for the RnF Day =) And although she wasn't there to finish the float, but her contribution was a lot also, always making the main feathers with kun(
Subby for taking over organising the float schedules as well as what needs to be done, because at a point of time I wasn't doing it very properly due to a period of sian-ness. Also can talk alot of cock, especially when he is tired and not thinking properly. And must have Chris around also to maximize the effect. Thanks for doing the side props(trees, gold) that ended up looking like it did some morning stretching exercise during RnF day HAHAHA. I still remember the raggers purposely took a photo with it, all doing that same posture hahahahahhaha.
Chris, the ULTIMATE talking cock person with an unspeakable secret that only some can know. Sometimes he can RH so often, I get rather turned off to the point where I'm disguested but most of the time it has been very hilarious. His STD mega flare was his personal creation , and until now, I still cannot view it as a normal mega flare ever since he tried to wave it around the lower part of his body, LOL. DAMN DISGUSTING CAN. And yes, he has a KLF which he is utterly dismayed at I know(pray he doesn't read this), but really la, KL. Thanks to him, now I have a very vivid image of his friend Daryk sniffing for fresh air at his window looking like a prisoner. HAHAHAH.
Kun for doing all the paperwork for me. If Subby didn't manage to rope him in, I guess float would be different (i.e. no Bahamut) because I hate paperwork totally. Poor him has to wake up early for meetings while the floaters continue to sleep, but when he comes back he will sleep to make up for that deficit anyway. Thanks for doing sai kang like getting paint and cloth, brushes for the float, ensuring the welfare of the floaters with pizza and mac(NICE), etcetc. Although always see you doing stuff in front of the lappy, I guess you are really that busy with work(hopefully) although I did catch pictures of food occasionally xD
Ok... enough for now. Falling asleep already.

cgf overrrrrrrrr
Monday, July 07, 2008 | 3:06 AM | 0 hearts♥
And finally a second event during the sem break ends, leaving float alone. Frankly speaking, I'm quite happy. Today we had this pro team playing during the DotA tournament, and yes they were truely good. During the event, I kept hearing people saying Zenith or something, even during the game I marshalled for the players were asking the opposition if they were from Zenith. At first I didn't know wad it stood for, but after googling about them a few mins ago I know now... and I think one of them looks like the members of Zenith(Ice I think). Either he is, or their picture is so photoshopped they look like one another, lol.Saw some SoC peeps coming down to visit us also.. pple like WenJie, Faizal, Michael + gf. I think that's all. Got Ben's friend also. Anyways, instead of the projected time to finish at 6.30pm, it dragged all the way to 10 plus which was kinda horrid because I started to doze off during the finals. Why it was so draggy was also due to the problem that E2Max didn't patch their Warcraft3 at all, and everyone had to spend time either downloading and updating the software, or had problems getting past their verification key thingy, forgot what's that called. Lost almost an hour or slightly more for that.
Saw some funny stuff when I marshalled too. Stuff like..
*when they have to pause to save game 30 mins after they start*
"?"
"SORRY AH IS GAME MARSHALL ASK ME DO ONE NOT I CHOOSE TO DO IT AH"
*narrowly missing death + massacre of opponents*
"<3 u all"
*on the losing side*
"my money nvr over 200 for very long alrdy"
Well stuff like that lol.
________________________
On to summing up camp:
- I think I'm getting too old for a 5D4N camp. Was so shagged, I knocked out for half a day ok. Say boo hoo to me.
- Activities were really good this year compared to previous. We never had Funny Night that time, beach games were more organized, SP stuff improved by 10000000000%, and I must say the food surpassed all to become 100000000000000000000000000000% better than last year. However the downside was that perhaps there was too much activities and freshie not enough rest, and yes like wad was discussed, maybe too many "big" events planned.
- The camp ended up being too welfare, too tight on safety. To tell the truth, I have never attended a successful camp that didn't have an element of risk or shit-work activity to go through. (Things like being pelted with shampoo, fruit juice, being tao-poked and sprayed with tomato + mayo, crawling on the ground etc) I would definitely NEVER resent the meals that was provided during camp(it's godsent), but sometimes hardship is the way to get the satisfaction that you survived this camp and experience everyone enduring the difficulties together. I think that's one of the most effective ways in letting pple bond quickly during this short period of time. The reason why i would never ever bring this up during feedback session is because firstly, the authorities will not endorse this. And for the second reason, I will keep it to myself. Have fun guessing. And it's not just me who has the same opinion on this, that I can assure u.
- no supper issue. again refer to above.
- Having seniors around is definitely a highlight of the camp cuz you don't see them often. But if they were able to stay around throughout, I think both sides would have thoroughly enjoyed themselves. However due to the fact that we stayed in halls, just too bad cannot slp with us lo. Well at least they get to stay with campers on last night I think. Got funny night, I don't know wad happen anyway. However I don't appreciate some people who tweak the activities secretly behind the scenes such that it only benefits people close to them. Simi sai fairness is that? Don't think only the people you know will lose out/suffer from an activity.
- The policy of not letting people sleep on the floor is quite troublesome but unavoidable. People bond more easily if they are physically closer to each other I think. (just don't anyhow touch ah) kinda miss last year's chalet arrangement, but again too bad. PA attitude. On the very last night of hall stay, I actually went around the entire 2 blocks to walk walk, and not a single door was open. All closed. I think this entire camp, I must be the only one who will actually open the door wide when I'm awake and inside. Amazing. And ya, the kitchen thing was SHIT. Cannot access to hot water, so crappy.
- Communication was very shitty for day 3. I was pissed enough during funny night, and I'm NOT feeling guilty for my anger at all. In fact, I'm still pretty much pissed when I recall the cock ups throughout the event.
- We iz have attitude freshies in this camp. NOT MY TYPE SORRY. It's not just having mild attitude, is VERY attitude. It's just like those people.... know got SP night want hot chick... know got go sentosa bring those rainbow sunglasses that can tempt pple to scratch... *shrugs* what to do?
- To me a really fun camp would be one with less talk, more action. Little breaks of rest is ok, but it should be controlled. Too many lags for the camp. Although someone did feedback that it allowed them time to interact, I think it's a compromise between the 2. It's either you give them rest + interaction, or you give them more interest in activity+ more excitement/buildup of atmosphere.
Lastly, to end my negative comments about camp. I don't know whose idea was it to change the prize theme from best cosplay group to become best hero and best villian, but I think it goes to show that last minute decisions do not work well most of the time unless one is sure it can entirely change the flow of happenings later on. That's why I was rather irritated when some people complained about the choice of winners for the cosplay, because they don't know what rly happened, and I hate to stand accused without being asked for a clarification properly.
On the positive stuff:
- I <3 the food. I think I've said it enough times.
- They choose Eusoff, which I'm familiar with. However it doesn't make it that camp-ish for me haha. Nvm I <3 the hot water baths.
- Being in camp comm is good. Wan do wad, can do wad unless got duty. Don't have to sweat out in the sun or walk xD yes I covet such activities!
- I think SP night was done well. I liked the way the couples were paired, very funny =D(Well with Mao holding your hands and singing into the rain... yeah...)
- Got cute guys! (thumbs up) Those that will tempt you to pinch their cheeks =D Don't worry my dear gets pinched also(LOL U KNOW WAD I MEAN)
- freshies are more encouraged to come down to rag and flag all thanks to the time taken to publicise the activities. Many many thanks! Thanks to the cosplay event, I'm hoping we can remodel some of the weapons cause they are really good for float. And this year we've seen so many groups and freshies coming down which is really great.
- grp1's cheer rox. Pauline knows why.
- this year has more interesting games involved like the balloon game, blahblahblah and a somewhat better planned finale meal. pity about the location though. i think the games ics really worked hard to find the nicer games, can see their effort =)
- i loved the gossiping with seniors that night, freaking hilarious
- i will never forget the day when the few of us played dai dee and the loser of each round have to drink an entire bottle of NEWater. went to the toilet many times xD
- fright night was freaking funny also especially when it was bernard and suting's turn. HAHHAHAHA I THOUGHT SHE SAID GET HER NOSE. And some moments when me and mao always run to chua's station to hear people scream, and running back when they start climbing the stairs. Also when I threw the eyeball at Wenjie and when Reuben laughed at my acting. lol. Still have some Scream trying to scare SueLynn(bumper edition of scares because it's her) at my station. And it's very fun to work with Mao, laugh non-stop ;D
- when peipei dave and me laughed so hard when i was being a sarcastic ah ma. HAHAHAHA
- having our dinner together after breaking camp, super funny when our table start to gossip
- shaking hands, thanking them for coming... + the last cheer by freshies
- one of the most positive things I see coming out of camp that people like Jeanette became so attached to us even though she's not gg to be in the same fac anymore. It's heartwarming.
- lastly, to have even closer relationships with some of my friends as well as making new acquaintances. That I really treasure.
Hmm ok, say so much positive(more of memorable) stuff, maybe I shall rethink on the this-camp-better-than-this-camp thingy. OK, SLIGHTLY BETTER.

Happy Birthday Nianci
Monday, June 23, 2008 | 4:19 PM | 0 hearts♥
2 days ago we celebrated Nianci's birthday at MOF Marina. Which was pretty fun considering everyone in S33 didn't meet up for a uber long time, and what's more, we were dining at MOF which was even better!I didn't take photos of the food that was on the table, but everyone of them looked great and tasted wonderful!
*salivas upon recounting the taste and images*
The dessert was always the best of course, and I love it X100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 as usual! <3
Well after that we had time to kill becaue the movie was at midnight, so we headed to the arcade just beside the cinema and we just rotted in there for 1 and a half hours. Halfway through some of the guys decided that their NS days just weren't exciting enough, and decided to play some military shooting game whose name I can't remember.

p.s. they used up their credits rather fast too
Ok on to the next interesting thing I saw in the arcade. You know just like how teenagers who look like ah bengs and ah lians never cease to exist, para para legacy will continue forever in these arcades. I simply cannot understand who the heck will play such a game that will embarrass the crap out of me if I ever play it. Somehow it makes even DDR pale in comparison, maybe because you can't flail your legs as wild as your arms to turn you into some mad octopus.
I seriously wish could have taken the video of those guys dancing, but I'm afraid if I did they would think they were spectacular and continue to flail their arms even more vigorously, which would go beyond that of an octopus's calibur to become... I don't know =.= But they were simply laughable
Later went to catch the movie Zohan, and to tell the truth it was really corny and sucked. The way they tried to make the audience laugh was really trying, and too lame for my taste. Even my dear fell asleep watching it, my god =.= Firstly, the accents used made it hard to understand what they were talking about, and chinese subtitles definitely didn't help. Zohan was too spectacular to the point where it gets boring... and the last part where he decided to put aside his hatred against his arch nemesis and they decided to live in harmony.... was DARN LAME. Oh and that last last part where they decided to sing some weird song to shatter all windows around the street all to defuse the bomb was like WTH. It's like those manga where people keep uncovering ultimate methods for problem one, then ultimate ultimate methods for problem 2, and ultimate X3 methods for problem 3. It's just like when you thought it was already enough here comes another O.O, like some bankai's bankai's bankai.(if you ever read Bleach u will know)
Anyway, sucked. That's the summary. Well unless you were like a certain SOMEONE in S33 who giggles even if an ant crawls past her, you might laugh to death. In that case then the movie is definitely worth the ka ching.
Oh, and happy birthday again Nianci, hoped you enjoyed yourself =)
Clubbing
Friday, February 22, 2008 | 4:25 AM | 0 hearts♥
For the first time in my entire life, I actually went clubbing because of the DnD pre-bash at butter factory.Yes, full with alcohol and dancing on the dancefloor.
The experience was really fun. Maybe it's because there wasn't any smokers allowed, so it was a really pleasant enough experience. Also it's because Eusoff booked the entire place, so no outsiders got in and everyone could mingle easily.
Truthfully, I've always hated alcohol, cause they stink to the core no matter how people say it. But because of the bash, I thought I would try it just for experience's sake. We had a complimentary bottle of beer, so I shouldn't bother wasting it. Want to experience clubbing, might as well go all out right.
Turns out, the beer reeked of awfulness just like any alcoholic beverage. To make things worse, it was one of the worse beers one could get to drink, as many of my hall friends(who do drink) claim. I took 3 gulps, and subsequent gulps will give me a vivid image of puking out my stomach for each gulp taken. That's how repulsive this beer was. I gave up somewhere halfway. Luckily most of the peeps drank up their beer(amazing), and they needed more so they ordered a 1000000000000000000000X nicer alcoholic beverage, thank goodness. And that's where I drank most of the alcohol.
Also, I've always been aware that with my aversion from alcohol, I'll probably be very lousy in my liquor intake. And yes I was =D After drinking quite a bit, I felt a little giddy so I avoided drinking for the rest of the night. Haha. It helped, and I'm not puking outside my room and can still write on my blog.
Dancing: It was freaking fun. Everyone just hugged each other, formed circles and take turns in displaying a mini dance for a while(complete with sabo-ing). It was really the part where people start to get high, even I got high too from the dancing haha. Of course there was a little ruckus here and there when some girl got slightly injured when some high guy knocked into her, and some other high guy was banging into our group, but overall, no mishaps nor major accidents. Now I know why some poeple just love to club. If it was solely for the dancing, I would say it's already worth it, but that is if you have a bunch of friends that you know.
Really a great experience, but it probably isn't something that I will do unless I see it an essential part of something that I badly want to do. Addiction to it will only cause trouble for my life in the way I see it, so there =)

Hope that this year will be a good one for me...

Thursday, January 03, 2008 | 9:39 PM | 0 hearts♥
It's 2008 already!! Amazing. I don't think I've fulfilled any resolution (not that I made any) for that past one year. Maybe eat more, sleep more, that's all.Anyways, how did I spend my day? Pretty fun I would say. Noticeably because there weren't so many grumpy people to spend it around with. Anyway we could have fun without them I suppose, so it's no problem.
Well me and kev got invited to mel's house to celebrate the coming of the new year. Spending the night, playing games and such. It was a B gang gathering actually. I have to thank mel and jie sheng for being so nice to host and org the gathering, it was really fun for me if even though I was super tired ;D
My mum happened to have free tickets to the movies because of the points she accumulated on her card, so me and Kev headed to The Cathay to watch this animation movie called "VEXILLE". We could have watched others, but I wanted to watch this badly just because it was an ANIMATION hahhahahahah!!
Turns out that it sucked. Sucked as in S.U.C.K.E.D. So much for "from the creators of appleseed". Kns. The characters' hair looked as though a gallon of hair wax was poured onto the hair, hardly moved at all, and it was so freaking FAKE urggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I must have watched too much Final Fantasy, but still it gives off such a low quality production feeling!! KNS. I hated the plot, so cliche. The main character doesn't even look emotional when she was supposed to cry because the boy was killed, she didn't even spill tears, yuck. Only Maria and her sidekick (some guy who died later on) was presentable cause she looked more natural(and more beautiful) Funnily, at the end of the climax of the show, everyone ended up injuring one of their legs so it was really hilarious when Maria was limping after the bad guy who was also limping away. Like, everyone was limping in that scene and the whole cinema just roared with laughter and someone even shouted "BUEY TAHAN LEH!!!"
Omg so embarrassing -.-||| but it was really that funny haha.
So the show ended. Since it was a picturehouse movie, we couldn't bring food or drinks into the cinema hence the ticket my mum redeemed for the snacks wasn't used. And just because of that stupid ticket for snacks, me and kev decided to go for ANOTHER movie just to eat the popcorn, cuz kev said it would seem weird to hold popcorn and drinks when we aren't going to the movies.
Who knew that decision would be so fruitking screwed up. Gosh. Cuz when Kev booked out, he didn't take any lunch and neither did I, so we thought we would have the popcorn for our lunch since my mum redeemed two sets for the both of us. We decided on a hurry to watch "Across the Universe" which sounded like a romance story. My senses were niggling saying it would be another sucky movie, but since we were rushing for another movie else we would be late for the gathering I just bought the tickets.
We went to the snacks bar, showed the ticket and you know what? We could only redeem ONE set because that stupid ticket counter girl only redeemed one set for us when we wanted two!!! We didn't know because the tickets were confusing when she passed it to us so we assumed it was correct. Kns. Somemore, I ordered salted popcorn first so when we heard there was only one set, we just grabbed it with a drink and ran to the theatre. And kev doesn't eat salted popcorn(so childish heh) he only eats freaking HONEY god knows why. See ah, I have never heard of kids liking salted popcorn. So what does it imply? My dear who eats honey popcorn must be a kid!!! HOHOHOHOHO. (I know it doesn't fit in with the theory of if-then in CS1231, but heck I just want to show that he's a kid HOHOHOHO)
Back to the movie, I wanted to go back and change it, but Kev didn't want me to do so. So he ended up eating nothing for another 2 hours when I finished up the entire packet of popcorn( yes I was that hungry). Poor thing =( What makes it worse was that the movie wasn't really nice. It was called "Across the Universe". Basically it's a little like high school musical. They sing lyrics of a song that is SUPPOSEDLY to tell the story of the movie. However in this movie, some of the lyrics they sing make ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE. And it got a little freaky in some parts with the strawberries song. I swear, I will never look at strawberries the same way again after that song. Absolutely freaky. The plot was simple, but because of all the singing, I think I was lost in what they were trying to do. However when I think back again the movie becomes slightly more understandable. Ah well. Sucky movie + no food = bad experience for my dear =(
After that, we ran back to Jurong to meet up for the gathering. Was supposed to have dinner first with everyone at a nearby food centre. We booked some seats while waiting for them to arrive.

Later we went to mel's house. First thing we did was to play the game Twister that mel just bought that very morning. Ah hahahhahahahahaha!!!!!!! xD The first game was played by the girls cuz Kev dozed off from tiredness lol. He joined in at the next game I think but I only had the pics when jie sheng finally came and when all the guys played together.

Imagine if Jie Sheng farted. EPIC.

After that... we played mahjong all the way till 7 am in the morning. Then I went to sleep till 12pm I think. After that we played mahjong AGAIN till around 5pm hahahaha. Didn't gamble, but until now my hands are getting itchy..... o well. Later had dinner at JP, and mel went to buy a bag xD I was also tempted to buy one myself despite Jie Sheng's attempts to persuade me hahahhahahahahahaha!!!!!! (Didn't in the end)
Well, that roughly sums up how celebrated my year 2008. Hope everyone had a nice time too =D

It's good to surround yourself with people and activities. It's good to surround yourself with people and activities.
It's good to surround yourself with people and activities.
GAH.
WESTZONE SUPERSTAR COMPETITION WAS LOUSY. The planning was a farce, and the whole competition ended up being so one-sided can. AND MY NUMBER 11 DIDN'T WIN, OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Cannot believe it, just because Mr Winner sang Zhang Hui Mei's song and looked abit sissy, that's why he won?! This is unbelievable!!! My 11 sang until damn solid can!!!! At least give him a better prize right... T_T
Ok, the alumni singer who performed two songs just owned all of the contestants anyway. She was really too good, even the audience quietened down just to listen to her. Aw....
JJ Alumni, your planning and management skills suck highly. THINK:
You have two kinds of awards, JJ champion and Westzone champion. When Mr Winner who was from JJ won first in the JJ champion category, it would automatically mean that the rest wouldn't have a shot at the Westzone champion cause he had more votes. So why the hell do you put him and one more JJ contestant as the last two contestants to receive their prizes in the Westzone champion category. Obviously Mr Winner wins again right???? We aren't idiots you know. Wait, I actually meant that you are the idiot. Sorry for that mistake ;)
Happy birthday to Meizi and Mao
Monday, July 30, 2007 | 1:32 AM | 0 hearts♥
Ogay, I have nothing to do cept for blogging so here I am. Hmm... Last week some Casya peeps + some seniors celebrated Meizi's and Mao's bdae. Happy belated birthday once again! We had the celebration at Heeren's Vil'lage. Ok pics are up! IT'S AN ICE CREAM CAKE >.>!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheerful smiles very soon gave way to tedious chopping up of the cake(as kindly shown by Mao) because it was too hard for the knife to saw through. Lesson learnt: Never buy ice cream cakes for your birthday.
Oh Popeye the sailorman~ TOOT TOOT!! Mao turns into popeye in the blink of an eye (hey it rhymes!) and with gigantic like strength, manages to pry out a dollop of whipped cream from the surface of the cake. We applaude his tremendous strength although the cake remained relatively unscathed from that ordeal.

Hmm... I'm longing for some Summer Vege soup... hungry=(

My 19th birthday
Wednesday, July 11, 2007 | 10:00 PM | 0 hearts♥
Alright, decided to update on stuff for my birthday. Thanks loads for everyone who wished me "Happy Birthday", I'm glad that you remembered although one or two were really quite unexpected. Germaine, Chia Wen, Keng Hock, Kenny, Kah Fong,Xiang Ning, Xiaojun, Jie Sheng, Mayi, Weng Lum, Wee Kiat, Cyreph/Issac, Eugene, Calvin, Pong, Mao, Erik, Meizi, Jun Wen, Lionel, Winston, Zhi gen, Yee Loong, Wee Kian, my whole family, Rendy, Kido/Karen, Rishil, my cousin Leng Leng and of course my dear XD!!!!!!! He was the first one to wish me happy birthday by waking me up at midnight, haha. Erm, that's all I can remember for now =S Sorry if I missed out on anyone's, do tell me alright.
Friday was my first birthday celebration with Xiaojun, Yee Loong and Wee Kian. We met up for dinner at Pastamania cuz Wee Kian was working there and he could give us a 30% staff discount, lol. Anyways, the food was pretty alright and I liked their curry pizza. Got really full and couldn't eat my birthday cake although it was just a small slice. They just got a candle, stuck it in the middle and proceeded to sing in the middle of the restaurant haha. After we did some bit of walking around before heading home. Happy 1st celebration hahahaha.
Saturday was spent with my dear cause he was supposed to book in on Sunday night. We had macdonalds breakfast before going to City Hall to shop about and that was where I got my presents XDXD I think I just used up my boyfriend's entire pay check for a month or so!!! XDXDXD Later we went to Douby Ghaut to catch a movie at 5pm. It was called "The Ex". Basically it's about this married couple moving from New York back to their parent's hometown because of a change of job, blah blah. The guy worked for the girl's dad in his company and was a subordinate of this guy in wheelchairs. Anyway that so called disabled guy proceeded to screw up his entire life jobwise and family wise, but in the end he got his just desserts. I would say it's quite funny. Later we had dinner at some restaurant called Mahattan something... it's somewhat like Fish&Co, yet tastier and we were so full after eating it we had to really walk about to digest. It was a really happy day for me too XD!!!!
Sunday was with Casya peeps and some SoC seniors and my family.
In the afternoon my family had lunch together at some dim sum restaurant together with my dear =DD even though the food was rather oily than usual, it was still nice. Walked around and had dessert too. Later I headed to his house to do some puzzle that we just bought till I had to leave for the outing.
Evening ,I got lost at DG station cause I didn't realise they had two control stations in the first place and they had to come and fetch me and they kept cracking jokes about it. Bleh. Had dinner at Cafe Cartel and almost half the table had salad for dinner can you imagine?!!?! For me, I had some pasta that I didn't know was spicy, so I had a tough time eating. After that we went to cuppage plaze for a KTV session and they tried to make me sing but I virtually know no songs that they had selected. It's either I have never heard of the song, or it's that I couldn't read the lyrics even though I knew the tune. Haha... Mao and Jun Wen stole the limelight by singing this duet and Mao freaking sang like Fei Yu Ching!!! OMG. Then we kept laughing and stuff. The room was really very cold. And everyone treated to me the dinner and KTV, thanks guys=D
NOW FOR THE PRESENTS MUA HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!
I simply loved my presents this year! HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
First present was from my sister. She got me this Peter Rabbit doll from Europe, and later she shared with Leng Leng and got this supposedly very famous and expensive Japanese branded bag for my studies in Uni. It's big enough to throw my stuff in=DD
Second was from Zhigen who told me to pick a Chinese song and he sang it for me. Haha thanks it was really nice of you to do that. XD
Third present was from Xiaojun who got me this pair of shuttlecock earrings!!! SO CUTE XD! And she got the cake for me too!
Fourth present was from Yee Loong and Rishil. They bought me a huge pack of Hello Kitty strawberry Marshmellows which is going to get me diabetes, a packet of Ritter Sport chocolate and an Eeyore notebook. Thanks!=D
Fifth was from Wee Kian who queued up for 4 hours to get for me doughnuts from the Suntec city doughnut store. Forgotten the name of that store, but I've heard that tons of people queue up each day just to buy their stuff and it's good stuff. He got a big box for me, a grand total of 16 different doughnuts. When I reached home with it, one got eaten straightaway by my mum, and the next day one each by my dad and sis. Two days later, I was left with 4 doughnuts even though I had not eaten a single one till today. WAH LAO!!!
Sixth was from my dear, the sweetest person to buy for me a precious moments figurine even though it costed a bomb. XDXDXDXD We passed by the shop and I told him I liked that mermaid (I've liked it since last year anyway) and he just got it for me =DDDDDDDDD It was seventy-five bucks btw, a little too ex. Anyways, I needed slippers and saw a pair that I was looking for, and he paid for it too. After that, I saw a cute bag and he paid for it too. LOL. Lastly went to comics connections at DB and wanted to buy this Strawberry Marshmellow puzzle, and he paid for it also LOL. I think I seriously blew a hole in his wallet and when his birthday comes he might take revenge on me hahahahahahhaha XD But seriously, I love all of the presents so much XD
Seventh from my parents who treated me to that sumptous dim sum!!!! =3
Eighth from my Casya peeps who got me the strawberry marshmellow figurines that I stated in my wishlist!!!! F55555555555555!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was really shocked cause I never thought that they would really go out of the way to buy it for me cause it was freaking ex in my opinion @_@. ZOMG it's so amazing. And it was really funny cause previously, I was talking to my dear on the phone about what I wanted for my birthday and I told him I wanted this. Then after he booked out of camp on Friday, he went to Cineleisure where it was located, all the way from Changi with his friend Patrick (not his real name, he just looks like it) and tried to get it for me. Unfortunately when he arrived it was gone and he was like omg. Then he asked the shopkeepers, and one of them said, " Oh you mean that one that was just sold not long ago? We are not stocking it anymore, it's the last piece." Then his jaw really dropped cause it was sold NOT LONG AGO... meaning he came too late!!!! LOL. He told me the what happened on Saturday and I was like omg oso, but on Sunday when I felt the package everything just clicked cause the size of the package, what the shopkeeper said just fit the entire guess. And it really was those "missing" figurines!!!! Hahahahahah damn funny can, and everyone laughed when I told them that. Apparently when my dear just booked out, they were already at Cineleisure buying it LOL. You guys are really sweet to buy it for me, thanks XD
Ninth from Keng Hock who bought for me this mini Saber figurine!! When I saw it I was like omg omg cause I had taught of buying it but withheld that temptaion and now it's actually mine XD!!!! AHHHHHHH!
Last but not least, when I reached home from that KTV, my dad had already baked a cake for me and everyone in my family including my sis's bf Rendy was just waiting for me so that we could celebrate. Awwww... the cake tasted good! =D
All in all, it was a fantastic three days that I had from everyone. I love you guys loads!!!! MUACKS XD (more for my dear though XD)

I just received a letter from the hostel I'm staying in, Eusoff hall! Apparently the checking in dates have been changed, so I'll have to go there at 27th July. Kind of excited XD, and there's another orientation again, so might not have the opportunity to update that often in the period when I've just moved in. Right now I'm trying to decide on my choice or degree, Computer Science or Communications and Media. I am currently very very indecisive cause I would love to take both. Anyway, I thought I should make a table of pros and cons for each one, then decide. I hope I will make the right choice at the end =D
Happy Father's Day

Thought for today: I never remember what I want to write for every blog post whenever i sign in to this account._________________________
Sweet. Today's Father's Day and I wonder how many peeps out there have planned for this
How many advertisements bang on Father's Day compared to Mother's Day? Virtally 1:10. That's a bad sign. Maybe Mother's Day is ten times more lucrative in profits compared to Father's Day because as we know, women are more attracted to beauty and shopping. This shows that there's something wrong with our mentalities in the private sector! Poor fathers, advertisers don't give much of a hoot about you.
Oh well, I'd probably buy nuts for Dad. He's nuts about it. (no pun intended)

Right now they are supposedly going for a movie at JP, but what the hell my boyfriend's watching Ocean's 13 for the 2nd time after he watched it with ME, citing that it's meaningless to wait outside for the rest to watch the show. Can't they just watch some other show?! Seeing that I didn't handcuff him physically to prevent him from wandering off to whereever i don't allow, I can't say much. Damn. Why didn't Huai An do the same thing when we wanted to watch a movie! Thats so not fair. GRR.
*edit: They decided to watch Fantastic 4 and I'm supposed to fly there in 30 minutes. Now I've got to

Oh speaking of Sentosa, I haven't told you why my nickname in msn that day was so !@#$( I've experienced shit things in my life in a span of less than 24 hours} . I hereby announce that clueless Mr Peh of 05S33 amazingly by some technical fault in his
OMGWTFBBQ?!? THERE'S NOBODY!!!!!!
Called my boyfriend's handphone and got groggy replies that told me the outing was POSTPONED to the next day. Yes, freaking POSTPONED. WTF. The first thing I did was simply, FLARE UP. I called up my parents who were eating at the hawker centre nearby and joined them for brunch. I was in such a bad fucking mood that I wasn't very nice to my parents and resulted in a cold war with my Dad for that brunch until we got home.
Then i made up my mind that I should boycott the entire Sentosa thingy until I IM-ed boyfriend and he said he was still going to chitchat with the guys. Then what about meeeeeeee?? So i ended up saying I would still go.
Later clueless Peh SMSed me to
Actually, I had accepted the apology but now rewriting the entire stuff just invoked the holy flaming spiritual lava inside me and I'm terribly NOT sorry to say that I'm seething with anger in me now.

Highlight for this post: Try out this game!
http://lineage2.plaync.jp/l2fun/flashGame.aspx
I tried it yesterday and being such a stubborn
Basically you control this pink head character and you are trapped in this dungeon. What you have to do is use your control keys and collect 40 treasures in total to clear the game. Simple? Think again =D It really tests your thinking ability. Hohoho!
The website's in Japanese, so for Japanese freaks out there you can try reading the words in the webby but I doubt they help in clearing the game.
For peeps who have tried out the game and vomited buckets of blood, I hereby present to you:
MORE BUCKETS!

Alright that was a joke.
For peeps who get claustrophobia from four brown walls and finger rawness from randomly getting your character to walk everywhere, here's the brillant solution. I swear this creator of the game is sadistic.
